New Hair Growth & Reversal of Grey – My 76 Year Old Spouse is Living Proof!

This is too good not to share with the world!

This is a blog post that I had to write! Everyone is noticing this and for good reason. It is amazing!

Here is a picture of my spouse Don. This picture was from Sept. 5th 2020. Sorry for the corn post but I was trying to find a good picture to show his hair in the past and this one works πŸ™‚

This was before in 2020 and these two below are right now… taken a few days ago in October of 2021.

Don’s hair is growing in thicker and his grey is reversing before our eyes!

What is his secret?

I am sure you are wondering, as is everyone who sees Don lately is …. what his secret is?

Just to give you a preamble, Don is a very healthy and active man and he takes cares of his health by taking supplements, working out, engaging his mind and body in positive activities, and feeding his mind with positive materials….

However, there is one little thing that he started doing that changed the game for his hair.

Now I am going to reveal the game changer! Celery Juice! I myself, have been drinking celery juice for quite some time now but Don was not inclined to do it until he read something to do with celery juice and building muscle so he started drinking it daily. Wow, were we surprised when we started to see his hair change right before our eyes!

We recently had our Thanksgiving dinner here in Canada two weekends ago, and everybody could see the difference without any need to compare pictures, especially as we had not seen one another in a long time. They could just see the difference!

Celery juice is amazing and I have written many posts about it in the past.

Now I would also like to mention that Don is a proponent also of taking his supplements on a daily basis and in an Isotonic form. We believe that the combination of the nutrients from both of these avenues contributes greatly to his overall health and well-being and his hair health!

Oh, and Don wanted me to mention that he reads books like “The Power of Your Subconcious Mind” a classic written by Joseph Murphy, on a daily basis and he believes that this is huge part of it too!

When the body and mind get the proper fuels (nutrients), they perform much better and nothing is impossible!

Hubby Had COVID too!

Last week I was doing some research on hair loss because I myself, had a very bad period recently of losing hair which was quite disturbing. I have clients who suffer greatly from hair loss and now I understand soooo much better! Luckily I have since been able to correct it and my hair is no longer coming out at all! Being on a cancer journey this makes me very happy because every change concerns us. I will write more in another blog post about what I did to correct my hair loss but about what I discovered in my research was that people who have had COVID can have hair loss! Don had the virus as did I in March so for this hair regrowth to happen is even more awesome!

I hope that you found this helpful and I am posting what I believe to be helpful links below. And please take advantage of my gift up for grabs πŸ™‚

Creamed Celery Pulp, Potato & Cauliflower Soup that is Dairy Free!

A beautiful bowl of this creamy dreamy dairy free soup … with celery juice pulp, potato, and cauliflower.

Amazing Dairy-Free Soup! Soothing & Healing Soup!

I love this soup and made it just the other day after a request from my 14 year old daughter. She loves this soup and that makes me HAPPY. I won’t lie because I know how absolutely healthy this soup is and also delicious I might add, and we all know how hard it is to get kids and teens into healthy eating… just sayin. πŸ™‚

And the best part is that I am going to show you exactly how to make it!

Let’s start with our ingredient list:

1 Head of Cauliflower or a Bag of Frozen Cauliflower

3 Medium Sized Potatoes peeled

3 Sticks of Celery washed

Celery Juice Pulp (as much as you want) and if you don’t have pulp because you don’t use juice celery like a lot of us do, just leave this out πŸ™‚

3 Garlic Cloves chopped

Fresh Ginger or Powdered Ginger

Fresh Turmeric or Powdered Turmeric

Some type of hot spice or hot sauce to put a little bit on the cauliflower before roasting

Potato Water or Stock

Olive oil

Salt & Pepper

Let’s Make It!

Assemble your ingredients!

Chopped celery, onions, potatoes, nubs of ginger, turmeric, garlic and celery pulp

Roast The Cauliflower

My bag of frozen cauliflower in the oven roasting

The first thing to do in this recipe is to roast the cauliflower in the oven. I put it in a bowl and drizzle a little olive oil or coconut oil on it and sprinkle with a buffalo spice or you can toss in a little bit of buffalo sauce or hot sauce of some sort. The ginger and turmeric offer some heat to the recipe too so there has to be a balance that works for you and your family’s heat level but we like a little heat.

Next is to put the tossed cauliflower on a sheet pan and cook or roast in the oven. I usually cook it at about 350 degrees until soft and the way I like it but you could raise the heat and really roast it to a nice brown color which adds a totally different flavor. You can play with this recipe to get it to how you like it.

Once the cauliflower is cooked the way you like it, you can add it to the soup when the time is right. I am also going to add here a reminder… in cooking feel free to experiment! That is the whole fun of it. And please note that you can be roasting the cauliflower while you get the rest of the soup going and here is how we do that….

First we saute the garlic in a little olive oil just until fragrant. In the picture above I didn’t use enough so I have adapted the recipe to 3 cloves! Again use your own judgement after making it the first time.

Garlic sauteeing in some Olive Oil

As for your pot. Use a pot that you love to make this soup. I used my brand new cast iron Staub pan that I just got the other day. Everything about making soup should involve love right down to the pot! -)

My new Staub pot… love it!

Next add the onion and the spices and stir a bit and let it cook for a minute or two. I use a grater for the fresh ginger and turmeric and do about 6 full grates. If you are using powered you will need to play with it but I am guessing 1/2 tsp of each would be good.

The onions, garlic and some grated ginger and tumeric….

Now add the celery and cook for a few minutes until a little soft. Next add in the celery juice pulp, potatoes and the potato water and or stock and salt and pepper.

Added in the celery pulp with the onion and garlic and celery
My Potato Water

What is Potato Water?

Potato water is just the water left from boiling a pot of potatoes. πŸ™‚ I save that amazing water and use it in soups, gravies and stocks. It is loaded with nutrients and helps to add a creaminess to the soup because of the starch content. I am an ADVOCATE of the role of potatoes for nutrition and recommend eating them often. So add as much potato water or stock of some sort as you want. I added just enough to cover the ingredients a little as you can see in the picture above.

If you don’t know what kind of stock to use I suggest using an organic low sodium bouillion cube or two added to water. You can also use leftover water from boiling or steaming veggies. Always keep that nutrient dense and flavorful water too!

Add salt and pepper to your liking and any other seasonings that resonate with you. I added a bit of a vegetable seasoning that I get from a local grocery store that I like. Now boil the soup until the potatoes are tender.

The soup cooking up

Next transfer into a blender or Vitamin and blend until smooth. You can also opt to leave some of the soup out and add back in later so you have some chunks if you want. Either way is good.

When the soup is cooked it heads to the Vitamix or Blender to puree
Looking good in the Vitamix

Now Bowl and enJOY!

The final bowl of this delicious soup! Creamed Celery Pulp, Potato & Cauliflower

And keep your leftovers in the refrigerator for an easy go-to source for a bowl of nutritious and delicious creamy soup that is dairy-free, soothing, and loaded with nutrition.

I like to keep my leftover soup in jars like this:

I hope that you enjoyed this recipe and that you try this soup. I would love to hear any additions you make to it and what your favorite heat ratio is. This batch did not have enough heat for our liking and we missed it but no worries I just added in a bit of hot sauce after the fact and it worked! That is a great soup hack also! πŸ™‚

Have a great day everyone!

Celery Is an Herb & What That Means When It Comes to Celery Juice

Celery Is An Herb

What do you think of when you think of herbal tea? I think of medicine. That’s what I think of.

And if celery is an herb, then it is a medicine to me also. The other day I posted this picture on Facebook.

A picture of my big pan of celery stalks ready for juicing for a few days

What a Christmas gift to myself I thought! Medicine! And I truly see celery juice as medicine. You can Google for yourself and see. Not only have I had many people that I know share with me their success stories but there are multiple thousands on the internet who share wonderful stories of healing. It is so amazing and awesome!

Like this FB message I received on the morning of Nov. 20/20

“Nothing quite like waking up every morning to learn how much more progress my body has made. I’m watching a miracle in action! Slowly the HS abscesses are getting smaller and smaller. When I bumped the celery juice to 32 oz the results are happening even faster. I thank God for you much lately, my friend. ❀

But going back to the herbal component, this is the reason why we ‘juice’ the celery rather than just eat a whole pile of it. We want to extract the herb’s medicine just like we would with herbal tea. When we run the celery through a juicer we extract the medicinal properties from it.

I love walking in the produce section now because when I look around and fill my cart, I feel as though I am filling it with natural medicine, because I am. πŸ™‚

Eye Floaters, Celery Juice & Heavy Metals

Eye floaters are spots or dots that appear in your vision and you seem to have to chase them in your vision.

I remember the first time I had eye floaters when I didn’t know what they were. I thought it was a little bug or fly in my kitchen and I kept trying to catch it. πŸ™‚ I eventually realized that the object I was chasing was in my vision and asked around about what was happening to me (this was pre Google) and found out about eye floaters.

Although these are often harmless, they can sometimes indicate a serious condition so if your eye floaters persist be sure to visit your eye doctor for a proper examination.

As for eye health, nutrients are important for eye health, just as nutrients are important for all organs and body parts that we have.

I have been drinking daily celery juice and now realize that I no longer have eye floaters and I also have had an improvement in my eye sight.

I was reading today in Anthony Williams book “Medical Medium Celery Juice” this:

“Celery juice helps with eye floaters by reducing inflammation that occurs on the optic nerve – which is what’s responsible for this mystery symptom that confuses medical research ad science. White spots, flares, white flashes, or black spots that occur without noticeable damager to the retina, pupil, or any other part of the eye are the result of neurotoxins from the Epstein-Barr virus, combined with heavy metals such as mercury, inflaming the optic nerve.

The powerful flavonoids and vitamin C that travel with celery juice’s sodium cluster salts and specific nerves in and around the brain, including the optic nerve. They disperse neurotoxins that have been sitting on the nerve, and they even protect the nerve from viral invasion while feeding nerve cells, allowing the optic nerve to rejuvenate.”

Some of the most important nutrients for eye health

The most important nutrients for eye health include:

  • Vitamins C, A, and E.
  • Zinc.
  • Selenium.
  • Anthocyanins.
  • DHA.

It is interesting to note that when I do hair mineral analysis testing for clients to determine the presence of heavy metals in the body and brain as well as checking for nutrient deficiencies and imbalances, we almost always see low levels of Zinc and Selenium!

I personally supplement with all of the above mentioned nutrients as well my daily 16 ounces of celery juice.

There are two supplements that I highly recommend for eye health and general health. If you are looking to support your eye health and your health in general you might want to consider taking a look at these two in particular. They are beneficial for eye health and so much more!

Here is the first and it has the anthocyanins in it plus so much more! You can click on the picture or this link to go to see the ingredients, benefits, reviews and science behind the product. https://ca.shop.com/THESHOPCONSULTANT/Isotonix+OPC+3+-559110168-p+.xhtml?credituser=R1159126

Isotonix OPC3

Next is one of the most important nutrients of our time. Vitamin C! This one is delivered in a delicious drinkable form as well and taste great. You can even mix the OPC-3 and Vitamin C together and along with any other Isotonix supplements. I drink these every morning and have for 23 years!

Celery Juice Story!

So many of you know that I am an advocate of celery juice and try to drink it every day.

Well just over a week ago, I was commenting on a friend’s FB thread where they were talking about avoiding night shade vegetables.

There were many comments back and forth, but I am only going to share a few here to lay the framework of the point of my post here.

My first comment to my friend…

We went back and forth and then I shared this comment.

So speed ahead to 11 days later and Lei tags me in a post! I guess she researched the Medical Medium work and tried celery juice. Here is what she said.

And if you are wondering what HS is:

Hidradenitis suppurativa (hi-drad-uh-NIE-tis sup-yoo-ruh-TIE-vuh) is a skin condition that causes small, painful lumps to form under the skin. The lumps can break open, or tunnels can form under the skin. The condition mostly affects areas where the skin rubs together, such as the armpits, groin, buttocks and breasts.

And another one from my friend.

In conclusion, I can’t wait to see if celery juice continues to help Lei. And I am so glad that she shared this with me.

I for one, am a firm believer in celery juice and its benefits and have heard and read countless amazing stories of how it has helped people. I will keep spreading the word. πŸ™‚

Celery Juice Pulp & Potato Soup

The Best Soup Ever!

This morning I was drinking my celery juice and was getting ready to wash my juicer and I thought “Hey, I should make some of my Celery Juice Pulp & Potato Soup”! And it is the perfect day for it, not that there is never a perfect day for this delicious soup. But today is rainy here so it makes it extra perfect. πŸ™‚

I have made this soup before and even my 14 year old daughter loves this one so this is a big, big, bonus. I am sure you will too.

After I made the soup I was still working on drinking my celery juice and knew that I should finish that and wait for a bit before I have anything else to eat or drink, but I couldn’t! This soup is that good. I had to try some. And let me tell you my taste buds loved it, but so did my tummy. Seriously, it is the most soothing soup ever!

This soup is tasty, soothing and healing! You just can’t go wrong with this one.

And I will show you step by step how to make it. But first the recipe:

Celery Juice pulp that you have. I had about 14 stalks worth of pulp. If you don’t have celery juice pulp, just chop up about 7 or so stalks of celery.

6 small to medium sized potatoes. I had these to use up.

3 to 4 garlic cloves or more if you love garlic.

1 small onion diced or more if you love onion. I am one of those cooks that says to go with your gut and intuition. We don’t have rules in my kitchen. πŸ™‚

2 veg bouillon cubes. I used organic, non GMO and gluten free. Note: depending on the diet you are following Ex.. Medical Medium perhaps, you could omit these and the soup would still be good with the use of salt and pepper

Salt & Pepper

Extra Virgin Olive Oil. And again depending on your diet you could omit and sautee the garlic and onions in a bit of water.

Okay Let’s Get Started!

My potatoes, onion, garlic, celery juice pulp and my celery juice to sip on while I cook. πŸ™‚

You might notice that my potatoes are on the soft side and look like they are ready to be used up and they are but that is fine for this soup because we will be blending it baby! I don’t waste any food because it is medicine!

6 cups of water and my 2 Vegetable Bouillon cubes
Olive Oil and Lotsa Pepper. I love pepper!

Again depending on your diet you could omit this step entirely and just use water to saute the garlic and onions (not quite the same)

Garlic and onions and EVO and pepper

Can you smell these? Wow. The best smell in the world. Nothing better than garlic and onions cooking together. Cook these just until soft.

Celery Juice Pulp, Potatoes and 2 Veg Bouillon Cubes go into the pot.

Into the pot they go! I like using a big cast iron pot like this one. I use these pots for everything!

6 cups of water for the Celery Juice Pulp Soup

Next is your 6 cups of water. Now you could take your two bouillon cubes and stir them into the water and use hot water before you put in the pot. Probably a better idea than what I did which was to just throw them in the pot. It turned out okay because it was blended at the end, but I could see they hadn’t dissolved after boiling.

Celery Juice Pulp Soup boiling

Get your soup boiling and then slowly boil or simmer it until the potatoes are fork tender. Looking good already though!

The soup is done and potatoes are fork tender.

The soup is done! And didn’t take long at all. And by the way, you can cut your potatoes in any size you want and even leave the skins on if you want. I removed mine because my potatoes were not that fresh.

Now time to head to your Vitamix or blender.

The cooked soup in the Vitamix ready to be blended.
Celery Juice Pulp Soup back in the pot after blending.
My finished product. A delightful bowl of Celery Juice Pulp & Potato Soup

Now I have to say this was one of the best bowls of soup that I have ever had. I very much listen to my body and my body loved this! I intuitively know that the soothing and nutrient dense ingredients in the potatoes are what I need!

If I had to give one word to this soup, it would be SOOTHING. πŸ™‚

I hope that you enJOY!

Amazing Benefits of Celery Juice

Sounds pretty amazing right? This is why I continue to drink celery juice as often as I can. I shoot for every day but you know how it goes, sometimes that does not happen so I just do the best that I can.

One of the things I love about celery juice, is how it supports liver health. I often hear people express to me their concerns over their livers. Some have been diagnosed with Fatty Liver and others tell me they can feel their liver and it is painful or uncomfortable. Supporting our livers is super important.

I hear or read about stories almost daily about the beneficial results people have had and are having from drinking celery juice. I would love to hear yours too!

And here is a link to all my past post about celery juice.

Breast Health, celery juice, Liver, liver health, Lymphatic System, Thermal Imaging

Celery Juice & Breast Health

Breast health very much ties in with our lymphatic health.

Our bodies have a network of lymph vessels and lymph nodes which area part of the body’s immune system also known as: The Lymphatic System. The Lymph System collects fluid, waste material, and other things such as viruses and bacteria that are in the body tissues, outside the bloodstream, and moves them along for disposal from the body.

In the same way that veins collect and carry blood through the body, lymph vessels carry a watery yellow fluid called lymph. Lymph flows through the lymphatic system and eventually drains into veins. This system helps to get rid of waste products from the body and to keep things moving along.

The Liver

The liver ties in here too. The liver being the master filter moves along toxins as well. An overburdened, sluggish and stagnant liver can make for a comprised removal of these toxins and invaders in the body both impairing the liver and the immune system, not to mention the circulatory system. I have written about sluggish blood in the past and you can read that article here: https://maggiesvitamins.blog/2018/10/15/are-you-suffering-from-toxic-blood/

Celery Juice for Breast Health

I am a big proponent of drinking celery juice daily. It helps the lymphatic system, the liver and more! At our wellness centre “Superior Shores Wellness Centre” in Thunder Bay, Ontario, we focus very heavily on breast health by providing Thermal Imaging for our clients as well as education on prevention, ways to move lymph, diet advise, supplementation suggestions and more. We even has a Psychotherapist on staff to help with supporting people on their journey of breast health and mental health around all of the challenges involved in this area. I myself am both a Certified Life Coach & Board Certified Nutritionist who loves to help when it comes to breast health also.

Celery Juice

As for celery juice, I cannot say enough about the benefits of adding in daily celery juicing when it comes to breast health.

According to Anthony Williams, The Medical Medium, in his book “Celery Juice” Celery juice not only cleanses and frees the liver over time, it helps cleanse the lymphatic system as well by bringing in fresh deliveries of living water filled with sodium cluster salts, trace minerals, and phyto-chemicals to flush out the troublemakers. Rejuvenating the lymphatic system has everything to do with cleaning up breast tissue. Celery juice’s unique travel velocity and saturation rate also mean that it has the ability to find its way through dense, hardened, fibrous breast tissue all the way to the skin. Celery juice provides anti-tumor, anti-adhesion properties.” By the way this is great news for people with dense breasts!

3D model of muscles of female torso for study, with breast in focus. A good visual also for dense breasts.

Anthony also mentions how heavy metals such as mercury and aluminum settle in the breast tissue as well. We are pleased to offer testing for heavy metals as well to support our breast health program. You can learn more here: https://www.maggieholbik.com/hairmineralanalysis.html And as a side note, hair analysis can be done from anywhere you live by simply sending in a sample to our lab here in Canada.
