Medical Medium’s 12 Reasons to Drink Celery Juice

I saw this great 12 Reason guide today for why to drink celery juice and thought it is a must share!

This comes right from Anthony Williams, The Medical Medium:

12 Reasons To Drink Celery Juice

1. Lowers Inflammation
Celery juice starves the unproductive bacteria and viruses that are behind inflammation.

2. Supports Weight Loss
Celery juice helps to clean up and detoxify the liver and a sluggish, toxic liver is behind mystery weight gain.

3. Aids Digestion
Celery juice restores hydrochloric acid levels in the stomach for better long-term digestion.

4. Reduces Bloating
Celery juice prompts the liver to increase bile production and strengthens the stomach’s hydrochloric acid production. Old undigested, rotting protein and rancid fats trapped at the bottom of the stomach and in the small intestinal tract can then be broken down, helping bloating.

5. Helps Eczema & Psoriasis
The undiscovered cluster salts in celery juice break down the cell membranes of the pathogens responsible for eczema, eventually killing and destroying them.

6. Fights Infections
Celery juice enhances your entire body’s immune system. White blood cells absorb the sodium cluster salts in celery juice through their cell structure and then use them as an offense mechanism, not just a defense mechanism.

7. Helps Prevent UTI’s
Celery juice is an antiseptic to streptococcus bacteria, which is the true unknown cause of Urinary Tract Infections.

8. Healing For Acne
Celery juice’s undiscovered sodium cluster salts are toxic to bacteria, including streptococcus in the liver and lymphatic system, which is the real cause of acne.

9. Prevents High Blood Pressure
Celery juice helps stabilize blood pressure by cleansing the liver of Liver Troublemakers (see Liver Rescue for info), which leads to healthier blood that can be easily pumped by the heart,

10. Helps Lower High Cholesterol
Celery juice helps cleanse and strengthen the liver, and breaks up undigested rotting proteins and fats that contribute to a sluggish liver, which is behind high cholesterol.

11. Helps Prevent Ulcers
Celery juice helps destroy the bacteria responsible for ulcers.

12. Protects Liver Health
Your liver’s individual immune system relies on the undiscovered types of sodium cluster salts inside of celery.

Are You Suffering from Toxic & Thick Sluggish 🅱🅻🅾🅾🅳?

Slow, sluggish and toxic blood is a big problem that correlates to how healthy we are.

What causes this type of blood?

Dehydration

There are several contributing factors one of which is dehydration! Most of us are severely dehydrated and it makes our blood thick. We do NOT want thick blood! Thick 🅱🅻🅾🅾🅳 is not only dangerous (think stroke) but thick sluggish blood, is unable to safely move toxins and pathogens out of the liver.

I often reflect on the example Dr. Jim Morris, The Quit Smoking Coach, uses with people. He shows them a ketchup packet and has them feel how thick and goopy the ketchup appears inside and then proceeds to tell them that this is what their blood is like after they smoke a cigarette. It certainly is a great visual and I now use it for myself with the thought of not being hydrated enough.

We can all relate to a lack of energy that correlates to dehydration whether we have been aware of its cause or not.

Other causes of thick blood are what Anthony Williams, The Medical Medium, calls Liver Troublemakers. Some of these are pathogens such as viruses like Epstein-Barr virus, shingles, herpes simplex, and HHV6, and bacteria like streptococcus, e. Coli, and more.

Heavy Metals/Solvents/Pesticides/Perfumes Etc.

There are also heavy metals involved, solvents, petro-chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, and more. Some of the really dangerous ones especially to the liver, thus causing toxic blood, are colognes, perfumes, scented candles, air fresheners etc.!!!! These are a huge, huge, detriment to the body’s master filter, the liver and contribute to toxic blood. In fact, people who are especially sensitive or who have sluggish livers, react almost immediately to these scents, my own daughter included.

When we visualize the circulatory system, we need to realize everything recycles so when there are toxins running through the body, they affect the liver and organs and then they are recirculated back into the blood stream and into the brain and through all organs! Heavy metals also wreak havoc by circulating this way.

I highly recommend reading Anthony’s indepth article on Toxic Blood here:
Anthony William, Medical Medium Toxic Blood Blog Post

And of course, common sense will tell us that the thicker the blood, the harder the body has to work and in turn we could see High Blood Pressure. Here is what Anthony has to say about that:

“Your heart draws blood directly from your liver. When the liver is in good working order, it’s like sipping water through a straw. When the liver is stagnant, sluggish, hot, fatty, or toxic, it becomes a clogged, dirty filter. As a result it becomes inflamed and constricted, so it can’t process blood well, nor can blood travel through the liver as easily as it should. It makes the blood dirtier and thicker with debris and increases the suction needed for the heart to pump up blood from the liver. As someone’s liver becomes more and more congested due to liver-unfriendly food choices while she or he is also chronically dehydrated, as we all are, the heart can be forced to use 10 or even 50 times its normal power to draw blood through the body. The result of all this increased suction is increased pressure—that is, high blood pressure.”

So one of the most important tasks at hand we can do right now, each and everyone of us, is to lower our toxic load, and work at supporting and healing our liver. Liver is LIFE… ie. Liv..er…. Here is a link to my past posts about the liver and liver health that you might find useful.

Liver “LIVE-er”

liver

As a Nutritionist who continues to study every single day of my life, the more I go down the rabbit hole of what is plaguing people in the way of illness and disease, the more information I come to over and over again that lands at the liver!

The word ‘liver’ when broken down is about living and the liver is indeed responsible for so many functions that allow us to ‘live’.  It is difficult to give a precise number, as the organ is still being explored, but it is thought that the liver carries out 500 distinct roles!!!

There are so many ailments that can be affected by or affect our livers. Fatty liver is becoming more and more common out there in the world as well as a host of other symptoms associated with a compromised liver.

The term ‘sluggish liver’ is used to describe a situation in which your liver and gall bladder are not functioning as well as they could be. Some indications that your liver function may be sub-optimal and may benefit from therapies designed to support the detoxification and excretion of toxins may include:

  • Intolerance of alcohol and/or fatty foods
  • Indigestion, constipation  and other digestive problems
  • Headaches
  • Itchy Skin
  • Acne and other skin conditions, such as eczema
  • Irritability
  • High cholesterol and blood lipid levels
  • High Blood Pressure
  • abdominal bloating
  • pain or discomfort over the liver – (right upper abdominal area under the rib cage)
  • excessive abdominal fat; pot belly; or a roll around the upper abdomen
  • trouble digesting fatty foods
  • had your gallbladder removed
  • acid reflux/heartburn
  • dark spots on the skin commonly referred to liver spots
  • overheating of the body & excessive perspiration
  • acne/rosacea or itchy, blotchy skin
  • unexplained weight gain and inability to lose weight even with calorie restriction

Other signs and symptoms may indicate the presence of more serious conditions requiring professional treatment (such as hepatitis or gall stones). These include:

  • Jaundice (yellow discolouration of the skin and eyes)
  • Nausea , vomiting and/or diarrhoea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Indigestion, bloating and wind
  • Fatigue
  • Abdominal Tenderness or pain, which may be generalised or localised under the right ribs
  • Swelling and hardness of the liver (hepatomegaly)
  • Dark urine
  • Unusually light or dark stools
  • Swollen feet, legs and/or abdomen
  • Confusion, sleep disturbance, and occasionally mental disturbance
  • Generalised itching over the whole body
  • Increased sensitivity to medicines and their effects

If you are suffering from any of the symptoms listed above, it is essential that you see your health care professional to determine the cause of the problem. Professional treatment and prescription medication may be necessary for the treatment of severe liver and gall bladder disease such as gallstones, hepatitis, fatty liver or cirrhosis, and permanent changes to your dietary and lifestyle habits may also be required.

Some of the often overlooked everyday liver stressors in general, are chemicals and toxins. Exposure to things like heavy metals, hair dyes, perfumes, artificially scented candles and cleaning products, etc. all create a substance or air borne substances that eventually are filtered through the liver which is the major clearing house for the body.  Some people find that as they age, they are less able to handle scents and exposure to certain chemicals due to a further comprised liver and ability for it to filter as it becomes overloaded. Unfortunately in this day and age our livers are challenged to keep up with the demand of their role as a clearing house and the liver’s role in the digestion and processing of proteins, fat and sugar.

One of the best things you can do is to limit your exposure to  liver stessors and add in healthy additions for liver support. In future blogs posts, I will cover simple strategies to support the liver with diet, supplementation and lifestyle modifications.
